You've been staring at the blank wall infront of you wondering what to do to make it fab and suddenly you realize that just like your life (or what you hope your life would be), it needs spice!!

So here's some tips on what to do with your office wall to give life and make your work space a tad more exciting than usual.

1. Pick your favorite quotes that inspire you.

Yes, key word here is "inspire". The quotes you will pick need to really make you feel inspired and ready to take on the next task. Check out websites like brainyquote and choose from over thousands of quotes.

I suggest pick short but powerful quotes so it becomes a good daily reminder for you. Don't pick the long ones that you will forget and probably wonder why you chose it in the first place.

Goal is to pick the ones that will help drive you to do more and feel good working on your tasks.

2. Do a professional lay out of the quotes.

Canva is my absolute favorite! I use this in a lot of my lay out needs for work and personally. It's super easy to use and can be used by a complete beginner in designing.

They have hundreds of free templates to use and you can pick whichever will bring these quotes alive!

For my current wall design, I picked "Poster lay outs". These templates are fully customize-able and they have FREE images you can choose from to make your quotes pop out.

You can also have your calligraphy artist friend  do it for you.

If you want it professionally done, I suggest to check our John Jeneres. He does amazing work and will truly transform your walls. Follow him on IG: JohnJeneress

Of course, pay for services. Not everything in life is free - except maybe KFC gravy.

3. Pick inspiration from Pinterest on the lay out of your wall.

Remember that you will be looking at this wall everyday and you want to make it look neat and professionally done even if it's DIY.

There are so many options but to start this off,   pick one that doesn't involve actual glass frames. Make it fluid and easy to change because chances are , you may be changing it every couple of months.

To place the design on the wall, I use Faber-Castell Tack-It so that I don't have to drill holes in the wall - this is not allowed in most offices anyway.

Tack it makes it easy to rearrange. Most importantly, it's easy to clean!

I also use colorful clips to keep my printed papers in place. You can use regular black ones or the wooden clips that you can get in stationary bazaars.

Choose the ones that will do the work for you in keeping the wall design together. Remember that this should not be painful to use.

4. Add pictures of people who inspire you

Every year I have The Invitation House print the top 5 pictures of the year. They lay it out professionally (they do it for FREE) and print it into 4x4 mini boxes!

They go really well with my design and I've had a lot of compliments from my office visitors. Some even asked me to order for them and I've given this as a gift to my best friends last year. It's really nice!

It's important to always be reminded about your purpose and like most of us, we are driven by our love for family. So having a nice set of pictures to remind you of their love especially on tough days can really go a long way.

5. If you share an office or space with a colleague, invite them to share their ideas or add quotes that they love on your wall design.

This is a great way to build a good relationship with your coworker and something that will inspire both of you.

If you share the same office then he/she will be looking at the same damn wall so might as well give her a chance to contribute, right?

I get a lot of compliments on this but the best comment so far is that it makes my office feel very warm and inviting.

This is so important to me since people tend to have a stigma that if you're in a Director's office, you're in the "Principal's office". I'd life to shatter that misconception of course.

I'd like my team to feel comfortable whenever they visit me. I'd like them to see quotes that I love and people who inspire me.

So go on and start gathering ideas for your office wall and turn it from drab to fab!
